Effective Date: September 10, 2026. At Convert Words to Time, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. We built this service with a zero-knowledge, zero-upload architecture: your documents and text never leave your device.

1Client-Side Document Parsing & Zero Server Uploads

When you paste speech drafts, essay manuscripts, or drag-and-drop document files (PDF, DOC, TXT, PPTX) into our calculator or speed test, text extraction and timing calculations are executed exclusively inside your local browser memory via client-side JavaScript.

🚫 No Server Transmission

Your files and text strings are never transmitted over the internet to our servers or any third-party cloud API.

🗑️ Instant Memory Purge

All extracted text resides in temporary volatile memory and is instantly wiped when you reload or close the tab.

💼 Enterprise Confidentiality

Safe for confidential speeches, NDAs, unpublished book manuscripts, and legal depositions.

2Cookies, Trackers & Local Storage Policy

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising retargeting pixels, or cross-site fingerprinting scripts. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your usage data.

We utilize standard browser localStorage strictly to preserve your user interface preferences between visits:

  • Theme Preference: Remembers your chosen Dark or Light interface appearance.
  • Custom Pacing Presets: Stores your personalized Words Per Minute (WPM) settings locally.

3Hosting Infrastructure & Security Logs

Our web application is deployed via globally distributed content delivery network (CDN) edge nodes. Standard server logs automatically record standard diagnostic metadata (such as obfuscated IP addresses, browser user-agent, and requested asset paths) strictly for DDoS mitigation, load balancing, and firewall security.

These logs are routinely rotated and purged, and they never contain the text or content of any document parsed within your browser.

4GDPR, CCPA & Global Compliance

Because Convert Words to Time does not collect, store, process, or transmit personal data or uploaded documents, our architecture is compliant by design with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
